Affiliate disclosure

Honesty about how we make money, in line with FTC guidelines.

Last updated: June 2026

We believe you deserve to know how a review site pays its bills, because that's the only way to judge whether its recommendations are trustworthy. Here's the full picture.

We use affiliate links

Some of the links on bestfreevpn.net are affiliate links. If you click one and later sign up for a paid plan, the VPN provider may pay us a commission. This comes out of their marketing budget. It never adds anything to the price you pay, and in many cases you'll get the same or a better deal than going direct.

It does not influence our rankings

This is the part that matters most. Our recommendations are based on hands-on testing, not on who pays us. A few concrete examples of how we keep that line clean:

In short: we'd rather keep your trust than chase a payout. A review site is only worth anything if you can believe what it says.

We also show ads

In addition to affiliate links, we display advertising (including Google AdSense) to help cover hosting and the time that goes into testing. Ads are clearly distinguishable from our editorial content. How advertising data is handled is covered in our privacy policy.

Clear labeling

Affiliate links to paid plans are marked with appropriate link attributes and, where relevant, noted on the page. When we link to a service that doesn't have an affiliate program, that's a plain link and we earn nothing from it.
